Two titles from the Splinter Cell series have joined the list of Xbox 360 titles backward compatible with Xbox One. The Xbox Backward Compatibility Sale is back again this year, and this time we’re celebrating by discounting more games in the catalog than ever. It’s been a busy week for Microsoft, as the company officially announced that its E3 2019 press conference will take place on Sunday, June 9 to kick off the week’s festivities, along with finally confirming that it will release a digital-only Xbox console in a few weeks with the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Specifically, those Xbox One X enhancements will be coming to Fable 2 and Fable 3, while Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Conviction, and Blacklist will also be gaining these new features starting today. In addition to the inclusion of Ninja Gaiden 2 to the backwards compatibility library, Microsoft also confirmed that several titles from the Fable and Splinter Cell series will be updated with support for Xbox One X enhancements, allowing those with the premium-end Xbox console to experience these titles with improved resolution and technical performance. It will be interesting to see how accurate this list is when the full set of games are announced on November 12th. Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Splinter Cell: Double Agent are now playable on Xbox One through the console's backwards compatibility program. Judging from this list, it sure has a lot of blockbuster games including Gears of War, Fallout, Bioshock, Splinter Cell, Witcher 2 and much more. Keep in mind that this list is not confirmed yet so consider it a rumor for now. Microsoft will officially reveal the list on November 9th but while we wait, we have an alleged list of games that will be backwards compatible on the Xbox One starting November 12th. It has been confirmed that more than 100+ games will be backwards compatible for Xbox One starting November 12th, but the full list of games still hasn’t been revealed yet.
This new firmware update is called New Xbox One Experience and along with the launch of this new firmware, Microsoft is also planning to officially start Backwards Compatibility for the Xbox One.
